Turbulence Models

CONVERGE™ includes the following turbulence models:

• RANS standard k-epsilon and RNG k-epsilon models.
• LES models, including the capability to run with all sub-models.

The movie below (AVI format) illustrates an LES simulation of flow over a backward facing step. The simulation also demonstrates the use of adaptive mesh refinement for more accurate results.
