In this webinar, we will discuss new features and enhancements to CONVERGE’s chemistry tools in version 3.0. CONVERGE contains a wide array of chemistry tools, including zero-dimensional (0D) chemical reactors, the one-dimensional (1D) flamespeed solver, and several chemical mechanism manipulation utilities. There are a number of new 0D chemical reactors featured in CONVERGE 3.0: the variable volume reactor with heat loss, the well-stirred reactor, the plug flow reactor, and the 0D engine reactor. We will provide an overview and example use cases for each new feature. Additionally, we will discuss the new table generation mode, which is a notable enhancement to the existing 0D and 1D simulation tools. The table generation mode allows you to create ignition or flamespeed tables that are useful for certain combustion models. Lastly, we will discuss the performance of the 0D chemical reactors and the 1D flamespeed solver and review the chemistry tools implemented in previous versions of CONVERGE.
