Contact us to arrange a meeting to learn how CONVERGE can simulate a wide variety of compressors. With its robust FSI model, autonomous meshing, and the ability to simulate complex motion without mesh templates or scripts, CONVERGE is ideally suited for compressor simulations.

Compressor Modeling with CONVERGE CFD

Thursday, July 12 | 11:00am–12:00pm | Room 311

CONVERGE CFD software creates the mesh at runtime, which eliminates all user meshing time. Our CFD solver uses Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR), which automatically adjusts the grid at each time-step, adding cells in areas with complex phenomena and eliminating cells that are not needed to yield accurate results. Ready to learn more? Please join us for a learning session in which we will demonstrate how you can accurately model compressors, fans, and blowers using CONVERGE CFD. This session will cover several topics, including:

  • Autonomous meshing, including Adaptive Mesh Refinement
  • Advanced physical models, including fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and conjugate heat transfer (CHT)
  • Multi-phase modeling
  • Examples of CONVERGE simulations for screw, scroll, reciprocating, vane, rolling piston, linear, and centrifugal compressors
