Running CONVERGE from CONVERGE Studio

This section describes how to run CONVERGE from CONVERGE Studio on both Windows and Linux. Launch CONVERGE Studio. Load the case file *.cvg to be run using the File > Open Project option or import the *.in and *.dat files using File > New File > Import Case Setup > Choose a case directory option. Navigate to Edit > Preferences > CONVERGE to ensure that the CONVERGE_ROOT path is set correctly. If the CONVERGE_ROOT path is set correctly, then the drop-down to choose the version of MPI and CONVERGE becomes active. Define the number of cores the simulation should run on. If you are using a node-locked license, point to the correct license file. For a floating license, set the correct port number and hostname/IP address of the RLM license server. If you are using a superbase license, pass the keyword -super in the command-line arguments box. Click Ok to close the box. Launch the simulation using the "Run CONVERGE" button located on the top panel of Studio. Refer to the CONVERGE Studio 5 Manual for information on how to run CONVERGE on Horizon from CONVERGE Studio.

If you set the CONVERGE_ROOT path incorrectly in CONVERGE Studio, you will see the following error:

Cannot use CONVERGE root, Version and MPI type from edit -->preferences-->CONVERGE to identify CONVERGE environment.
