To start a simulation from the command line, first navigate to your Case Directory. We recommend using PowerShell. If you use Command Prompt instead, you cannot navigate using a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) file path. You must first set the appropriate CONVERGE environment variables via script. Run setenv.bat or setenv.ps1 with the appropriate argument.
After configuring your environment, enter the appropriate command at the command line. Refer to the following sections for example commands for each supported MPI library. Note that you must use a supported MPI version. You do not need to copy or link the CONVERGE executable to the Case Directory.
By default, CONVERGE uses the MPI environment configuration that is included in the CONVERGE installation package. If your organization has its own MPI setup, we recommend using that instead. To do so, configure the path to your organization's MPI environment files in setenv.bat or setenv.ps1.
CONVERGE accepts a number of command-line options. Note that you must use the appropriate command-line option (--license super in CONVERGE 6.0.0) if you have a superbase solver license.
