CONVERGE Workshop: Accelerating Compressor Design With CFD

In this workshop, learn how CONVERGE CFD software’s unique set of modeling tools enable accurate and efficient simulations of different types of compressors. We will demonstrate how CONVERGE can easily handle the complex moving geometries of positive-displacement compressors, including piston, scroll, screw, vane, and rolling piston, as well as several novel designs. In addition, we’ll cover CONVERGE’s powerful modeling solutions for complex flow phenomena such as fluid-structure interaction in plate and reed valves, gap flow modeling, conjugate heat transfer, multi-phase modeling of oil injection, and phase change in evaporators, condensers, and ejectors. By attending this workshop, participants will gain insight into current state-of-the-art simulation capabilities and the ease with which these tools can be incorporated into engineering design and analysis workflows.
