This course offers an introduction to CONVERGE for gasoline engine modeling. We will discuss the principles of gasoline combustion and the CONVERGE solver and modeling options for gasoline engines. This lecture will cover spray modeling, various combustion modeling options (e.g., SAGE, G-Equation, ECFM), source modeling, and mesh requirements. In addition, we will discuss some best practices for predicting engine knock. During this course, we will work through several gasoline engine example cases in CONVERGE Studio.*This session includes hands-on CONVERGE Studio practice.
