Supporting the Adoption of the Hydrogen Ecosystem With CONVERGE

January 21, 2026 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM CST

Hydrogen has gained significant interest in recent years as an alternative fuel to help reduce carbon emissions from the transportation and energy sectors. However, hydrogen’s high diffusivity, lower volumetric density, very low condensation temperature, wide flammability range, and low ignition energy present a number of challenges for designing the infrastructure required to support a more widespread adoption of hydrogen. In this webinar, we’ll discuss how CONVERGE can help address challenges related to hydrogen storage, transport, and safety to facilitate the use of hydrogen around the globe. We’ll cover the models and features CONVERGE offers for accurate hydrogen simulations, including autonomous and adaptive meshing, advanced numerical schemes, detailed chemistry, and robust models for conjugate heat transfer, multi-phase flows, and fluid-structure interaction. We’ll demonstrate how these features can be used to investigate key hydrogen infrastructure applications, such as gas tank filling, liquid tank filling, cryogenic liquid pumps, hydrogen tank leaks, and fire safety analysis.
